Positron’s PBX systems offer configuration of an unlimited amount of extensions. Users can be local or remote provided they have Internet access. Calls can also be taken at one office and transferred to another office, once again saving on long distance fees.

Positron’s PBX systems provide seamless service when users are away from their desk. The caller is placed on hold while the system tries to reach the user at the alternate location(s) provided. Once the system finds the user, the call is transferred transparently to that unidentified external number.

Specifically, users can provide instructions on where to be reached based on the time of call, caller ID and type of call. The system will search in sequence through the numbers provided so the user never misses a call. With this feature, important calls are never missed and users no longer need to provide private phone numbers. Auto Attendant

Positron’s PBX Systems auto-attendant assists callers in reaching the correct person and/or department. This features permits callers to dial-by-extension or dial-by-name. It also includes custom messages and music-on-hold, voice message forwarding and message appending. Music can also be sorted into various folders. Separate auto-attendant feature sets can be used for different extensions. The voicemail structure supports directories by department, employee, extension, etc, offering flexibility and allowing smaller companies to benefit from the same professional image as larger companies.

Dial-by-Name Directory

Positron’s PBX Systems easily allow callers to reach the appropriate person without knowing their extension. Positron’s PBXs allow for either first or last name directory look up. Dial-by-Name allows an outside caller to get help in finding the extension number of the person they wish to call as long as they know the person's name.

Rings Groups

Positron’s PBX systems allow for different extensions to be integrated into a single Ring Group. Call handling speed will be increased and customers will always be connected to the right person. Calls can be routed to a series of extensions in three different ways:

Caller ID

See who's calling.

Positron’s PBX Systems let the users know who is calling. This feature represents the digits passed from the carrier (or PBX) to the end user device (or between PBXs) that identifies who the caller is. Also known as CLI (Calling line identification) or ANI (Automatic Number Identification). Even when a call is transferred from one number to the next, the caller ID feature remains for the user to know who’s calling.

Corporate Call Back

Save on long distance.

Positron’s PBX systems provides a secure set-up callback destination that calls a user back and provides access to dial tone – allowing a user to then key in any number they desire and have the billing centralized at the office. This is a basic service for reducing long distance fees and mobile phone charges.

Advanced Call Forwarding Rules

Answer every call.

Positron’s PBX systems provide the option to seamlessly forward the users’ missed user’s calls. The caller is prompted for their name and the call is then gets forwarded over a VoIP line to the additional forwarding numbers provided by the user. The call is forwarded with the CallerID of the inbound caller (not the PBX). The user will see the inbound call and can choose to either answer or ignore. Ignored calls get sent back to the user’s voicemail box. If the user does answer the call, they are prompted with the option to either 1) accept or 2) reject. A rejected call is still transparent to the original caller, and sent back to voicemail.

Time of Day Service

Positron’s PBX Systems provide the ability to control the phone system’s response of the phone system based on the time or date. Once the rules are provided, the phone system responds accordingly during and after hours. For example, the out-of-office message can play all day on December 25th.

Conference Rooms

Positron’s PBX Systems help companies convey a more professional image with its voice conference rooms where the user and up to 5 other calls can join on a conference call. The system is secure (pin codes), professional (plays music to members on hold) and powerful (record the conference call).

Music On Hold Audio

Positron’s PBX Systems lets each user customize the music or message to be played to all callers on hold. This allows users to manage what the callers are listening to and the messages they are hearing. This is advantageous for letting callers know about promotions or other available services. Once the user answers the call, the caller is better informed and prepared.

Positron’s PBX Systems remove the need to periodically call into your voicemail to check messages. This feature converts the users’ voice messages and sends them to their email addresses. Users can now conveniently listen to their messages, wherever they are.
